Print Layout Terms

Serif and Sans-Serif Font- serif is a letter with curves of a complex design while san-serif is just a plain letter.
Margins- Border or Edge
Guide- a sort of ruler to draw lines straight up or sideways

Bleed- How much of the paper printed has been marked

CMYK- Colors in the printer. It is based around black instead of white like RGB

Image resolution- How sharp the image is

Proof copy- A copy of a printable image

Artboard- A place you can put tools you are not currently using

Registration Mark- It is a symbol to say is registered under a patent name like copyright of trademark, but an "R".
